Hilly neighborhood run with Michelle
Wow, my legs are tired. Michelle asked me to run with her this morning and even though it was my rest day for running I couldn’t resist. I’m totally wiped out! John and I are going to Laura’s class at the Y tonight and all I can say is I hope she doesn’t want to do a lot of cardio. The push is on to lose those 5 pounds by the flying pig.

11 hilly miles because I couldn’t say no!
So what do you do after running 20 miles, staying out till 3a on the night you have to turn your clocks back, well in my world you get up early (after 4 hours of sleep) and run 11 hilly miles. Why you may ask. Well I was really supposed to go 10 but Irina had to do 11 so hey what’s another miles amongst friends. When I first woke up I didn’t think I could run a mile but it was really fun. Special thanks to my running club for showing up at my house at 8a. If they hadn’t come, I would have just slept in. This was fast for me and I’m thrilled. Maybe I am getting stronger! Next weekend I’m racing so I’ll see if I got any faster. I doubt it since I seem to be built for distance and not speed. Less than 2 months now until the Flying pig and my monster month of racing. Last year it was October, this year it’s May (and October). At this rate I may just end up with a monster year one of these days.

3 laps at Stoney plus 2 miles
Wow talk about an awesome run. This was the fastest training run I have ever done. I didn’t feel bad except for the last two miles (I would have come in under a 10 minute average but the last two killed me) I ran the first loop with the group then split off for the last two with Brenda. Would I have gone that fast without her. Well I doubt it. I ran the last two with Argenta and I just didn’t have anything left in my tank. Tomorrow is a real hilly 9 mile run from my house so I expect I’m not going to be in top form. Hey miles is miles!

It was only supposed to be 10 miles!
Well todays run was interesting. I was supposed to run with Laura but she was asked to sub for a class so I ran a route from my house. Made a mistake in the miles and ended up on a path that was not shoveled. Ended up walking for the 1/2 mile because it was wet, icy and uneven. I even tried running on the road but it was dirt and like mud. My shoes were a mess so I went back to the snowy path (a foot of snow and ice) I’m wiped out. Before that cruddy 1/2 mile I was going at about a 10:20 pace which was awesome for the hilly route that I was on. Tomorrow is going to be a tough day. Boot camp and 5 miles, yikes!

Sunday Run from Rich and Sharon”s
What a great run. Dirt roads and paved road combo. It was slightly hilly but not so overwhelming that I had to walk. Great great run with even better company! Thanks YPOM for making all my runs fun!

Long run 3 laps at stoney
First two laps 12 miles at 2:02 then helped a fellow runner with the last loop so my times are a bit off. Hey milage is milage. Next Saturday is my next 20! Working my way to the Flying Pig and a monster month of racing.

Hilly and icy run after boot camp
boy I stunk today. I was tired from boot camp and just not in the flow. I hope I can turn it up a bit more. I was hoping to run my 4 miles runs a bit faster but it just wasn’t in the cards today. Tomorrow is a no run day so hopefully my 18 on Saturday will be much better.

Rest of run on treadmill
Boy it’s sure good to be done. I had a total of 9 miles to do today but didn’t want to do them all on the treadmill or track. One the track would have been crazy (12 times around per mile) so I broke it up and it wasn’t so bad. I’m pretty wiped out now. Tomorrow is boot camp with only 4 miles to tack on to complete my stress filled day (yes it’s parent teacher conferences 2 days in a row)
