You know you should run when….
Well I should have know better. Yesterday was a big day of working out for me and I knew I would be tired. I just couldn’t resist getting a chance to run with my friend Argenta. She is the whole reason I started running three years ago and anytime I get to run with her is a treat (she’s usually way too fast for me). First I got up late. Didn’t charge my Garmin so I had no watch. Put on recovery socks instead of compression sox and forgot to take some Motrin the night before so I was sore to begin with. Add to that we picked a hilly course to run. Yes, I should have stayed home but I was still a wonderful time. So I had to walk most of the last three miles, so what if my legs feel like jelly, so what if my digestive track is not pretty, it was great to run with a friend.
So that being said, when you know your going to have a less than stellar work out, some times you just need to suck it up and enjoy the fact that at least you tried. It helps to have a friend along to share your misery.
